Description Make beautiful jewelry with instruction from a working artist. They will guide you to shape, polish, solder, pierce, etch and embellish jewelry in copper and brass. Hollow forms, stones settings, stone inlay, repousse and reticulations will also be introduced. -

Registration closes April 21Description Draw what you see and see what you draw! In this introductory-level class, students will learn the essentials of drawing techniques β specifically drawing from observation and reality. Students will try their hands at classic subjects like still life and portraiture (as well as subjects of their choice!) using a variety of different tools and media. Students will study composition β that is, how a picture βspeaksβ to us β and explore how they can use that language themselves to communicate their own thoughts and ideas through artwork.

Taking notes from art history as well as contemporary art, immerse yourself in the artistic study of the portrait and the figure. Working from observation of both a live nude model and photographic or sculptural sources, youβll paint and draw with a variety of both traditional and experimental methods, using a broad range of materials from charcoal to oil paint. Beginners through advanced students will benefit from our creative and technical exercises in class, designed to enhance your knowledge and build your skills from any level of experience.
